Office Administrator

30 hours per week: Monday - Friday 08:30 – 12:00 and 13:00 - 15:30 – Term Time only.  WP Grade 5.  Actual pro rata salary range - £11,915-£13,890 

We are seeking to appoint as soon as possible, a highly organised, enthusiastic and motivated School Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team. The School Administrator will have a flexible attitude towards work and recognition of the confidentiality of the role are key. The ability to communicate effectively with pupils, staff, parents and visitors to the school is also necessary. 

The ideal candidate must be well organised, with the ability to work using their own initiative and as an effective team member reporting to the Headteacher and Office Manager. This person will demonstrate a calm, positive attitude with the ability to multitask within an extremely busy school office environment. 

The post responsibilities will include: 

  • Meeting and greeting visitors to the school , 'front of house', 'signing in' visitors;
  • Dealing with a variety of enquiries face to face, over the telephone and via email;
  • Sorting and distributing mail;
  • Undertaking typing, word processing and other ICT based tasks;
  • Co-ordinating Admissions and Leavers administration, parent tours to the school;
  • Maintaining school records via SIMS and producing reports and returns as required;
  • Recording Pupil Attendance via SIMS;
  • Assisting in arranging educational visits, internal and external including the administration of  children's swimming sessions;
  • First Aid responsibility;
  • Managing the school Parentmail communication system;
  • Other duties commensurate with the post;

The successful candidate(s) will: Have experience of teaching groups of children in either KS1, KS2 or SEN;

Be expected to deliver intervention programmes to groups of children across KS2 or SEN.

Midday Meals Supervisor Job Description

 

Nursery Class Teaching Assistant Bank Staff required as the Nursery expands  (this is likely to be April 2018)

Pay Scale – Sussex Learning Trust Grade 4 (actual pro rata salary range £12,028 - £13,617)

 An exciting opportunity to join the Warden Park Primary Academy team as the new nursery provision opens in January 2018.  The nursery will open its doors to 2-4 year olds, with daily sessions in the morning (8:45 – 11:45) and afternoon (12:15 – 15:15) with the option to stay for lunch (11:45 – 12:15).  

WPPA is looking for staff to join to the team as bank staff – it is anticipated that additional staff will be needed as the number of children attending the nursery increases.   Initially these positions will require staff to be available on an 'ad hoc' basis.

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES


Warden Park Secondary Academy has an exciting opportunity for volunteers to work with a range of learners who have a learning/additional support need and require a reader/scribe during examinations and to support assessment work. Full training to provide this support to their learners will be provided.

Volunteers should have a good academic ability, preferably with previous experience working with young people or within education, and appreciate the importance of confidentiality.

Volunteers will be asked to complete and return a Warden Park Support Staff application form available on our website (www.wardenpark.co.uk) and also provide the names and full contact details (including email addresses) of two professional referees. All successful volunteers will also be subject to a Health Assessment.
